Maharaja Agrasen College (MAC), is one of the fastest developing colleges under University of Delhi has come a long way through after when it was formed in 1994 with having started as a small college it has added a lot to it's development .

MAC,currently housed in a school building in Mayur Vihar Phase-I, will soon shift to its permanent campus coming up in Vasundhra Enclave.

The 'Bhoomi pujan' for the new building was held in the presence of Union Minister for Parliamentry Affairs and Tourism,Madan Lal Khurana on 1st September 1998. The permanent site for the college in Vasundhra Enclave is reportedly the sport where the historical battle between the Marathas and the British forces took place in 1803.

Besides, MAC has a 50-seater air conditioned conference room with a built-in sound system,laboratories,a huge activity hall and a well-equiped laboratory.

This college introduced New courses like Computer Science, Electronics(Hons.), Mathematical Science,B.Economics(Hons.)the year 1996-97 and in the year 1997-98 it added B.A Journalism(Hons.) and English (Hons.) and now B.C.A (Bachelor of Computer Science) to it's List of Courses.

Maharaja Agrasen college has a very well-equipped Computer lab with two Novell netware 3.12 based Pentium Servers with more than 20 nodes and another Windows 95 based standalone system for TCP/IP Internet Access to the students.

The college was named 'Maharaja Agrasen College' on 12th March 1995.

Maharaja Agrasen was a noble ruler in post-Mahabharta period who built his capital at Agroha,near Hissar in Haryana.The present college site was a historic site where the Marathas and the British forces fought the pitched battle in 1803 which resulted into the victory of British,who from then onwards became the defacto rulers of Delhi.

Maharaja Agrasen was an embodiment of
Sacrifice,Compassion,Non-Violence,Peace,Prosperity and a True Socialist.

The college is striving to inculcate the ideals of Maharaja Agrasen among the students which are much more relevant and desirable in present time. Maharaja Agrasen College also celebrates 50 years of Indian Independence
